The location is good. Easy access to city center, though still a bit far from vieux port, it is about 15 minutes walk. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is also a plus. Nice treatment from staff, though they don't all speak english.

No elevator, so the 62 steps of stairs could be a challenge if you carry some luggage. They don't provide daily cleaning neither change your towel once checked in unless you are willing to make aditional payment. As a result, you may have serious hygiene problem if you stay long.

It's all new and quite spacious.

It's not a 4* hotel ok, it's well earned 3*. For 4* you must have a bidet in the bathroom.

Quiet room on backside, possibility to iron, initial quick response to e-mail inquiries, free and fast internet connection, nice bed.

On arrival there was still some garbage on the shelves (used cigarette packages and napkins), the shower drain was blocked after a few days which was not repaired despite three requests, check-in a bit awkward and taking too long, sea gulls a bit too noisy at times, neighbours downstairs smoking with smoke entering the apartment, terribly designed chairs with sharp edges.

Good, well maintained apartment with practical facilities. We stayed for about a week with two young children, and it was quite comfortable. The location was excellent. It's walking distance from Metro Castellane, which itself is very close to Vieux Port. One can walk to Vieux port, even. Metro Castellane has both the metro lines, and a rather large bus station with good connectivity. As we stayed for a week, we wanted to take the public transport and really feel the life in Marseille, so the easy access to Metro and Bus -- really helped. There was a broadband -- cable based, and a wifi router of its own. So it was very useful. The small kitchen was adequately furnished. There was an option of getting breakfast delivered (although we didn't take it). Convenience stores -- Petit Casino, Monoprix, etc are quite nearby (about 5 minutes walk one way). Lots of eateries in Rue Paradis -- so even if you are not in a mood to cook, after a long day's sightseeing -- you can always try eateries on rue Paradis, and rue Rome.

The bathroom could be better designed. It has a shower but no bathtub -- I really would have loved to have a good long hot soak at the end of the day. The hot water availability was not easy to understand, and we needed to talk to the hotel staff on phone to figure it out completely The cleaning is ONLY on request. I wish they could provide daily or bi-daily cleaning and change of sheets / towels. TV is small sized -- and we couldn't find any english movie channels :-(
